# Placeholder Image Generator

Generate custom placeholder images with seeded backgrounds and SVG, PNG, or JPG output.

## Usage

1. Choose SVG, PNG, or JPG, and set the image dimensions. The default is 800 × 450.
2. Choose a solid, random, category, or specific background. Add text and appearance settings if needed.
3. Copy the image URL or choose Copy <img> tag, then paste it into your website or demo.

## Behavior

- GET /api/placeholder/image.svg returns a CDN-cacheable image without an account or API key. It can be used directly as an img src.
- Default values are optional. Random selection in the tool produces a fixed image ID, so copied links stay stable.
- Image dimensions are limited to 4096 pixels per side and 4,000,000 total pixels. Text is limited to 200 Unicode characters and 12 lines.
- Image URLs and their labels are public. Use image.svg for vector output, image.png for PNG, and image.jpg for photographs. The legacy /api/placeholder endpoint is still supported.
