# Domain Registration Checker

Check one domain or a list for registration records and metadata.

## Usage

1. Enter a domain or a list of domains.
2. Run the check and inspect each result's registration status and metadata.
3. For automation, open API access in the tool, create a scoped key, and use the documented JSON API.

## Behavior

- POST /api/v1/domains/check accepts 1 to 10 domains and requires a bearer API key for agent requests. No account is required to create a key in the tool.
- The endpoint performs RDAP registration-record checks. A missing record does not guarantee a domain is available to purchase.
- Inspect individual result errors even after HTTP 200. Respect Retry-After and retry only retryable results.
- Keep API keys on your server. Never put secrets or candidate lists in URLs. The service sends lookup candidates to authoritative RDAP providers.
